Good News

This world might be going to you know where in a hand basket, but there is hope!

This world is not my home because I’ve put my faith and trust in Jesus Christ, the Son of the Living God. Because of that, I now have the promise of eternal life in heaven with Him some day, and you can too!

It doesn’t matter who you are. It doesn’t matter what you’ve done. You are never too far gone for Jesus to save you.

Salvation and eternal life is a FREE GIFT waiting to be accepted by faith:

Ephesians 2:8 “ For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:”

So today, I want to share how you can be saved and enjoy eternal life – free from the stress, fear, sorrow, and pain of this world.

Here are the “ABC’s” of Salvation….

Admit you are a sinner in need of a savior.

Believe in the finished redemptive work of Jesus Christ on the cross alone for the remission of all your sins (past, present, and future).

Call on the name of the Lord. (“For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” Romans 10:13)

And here are some Bible verses that show how to be saved:

Romans 3:23 – “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;”

Romans 6:23 – “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”

John 3:16 –For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

John 14:6 – “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”

John 10:9-10 – “I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture. The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.”

Romans 10:9-10 – “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.”

1 John 1:9 – “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”

Ephesians 2:8-10 – “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.”

Acts 22:16 – “And now why tarriest thou? arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord.”

I often over-complicate the message to my own shame, but it is just that simple.

Why is it such a temptation to rely on ourselves and our own “goodness” and works?

Maybe it gives us a sense of security.  In other words, if the whole “by grace through faith apart from works” thing doesn’t pan out, we can fall back on our good deeds.

Yet God has removed the cover off of my sin and now I am daily confronted with the impossibility of being perfect enough.  Not only can I not be perfect enough, but actually I am utterly wretched and have accrued a debt I could never repay.

Romans 3:20 – “Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.”

But praise God it’s been paid for me – on the cross when Jesus died – He paid my sin debt – and yours too.

Your debt has been paid. All that’s left for you to do is accept that free gift by faith in His Finished work.

You can become a child of God by praying to Him and receiving Him right now by faith:

Admit you are a sinner in need of a savior.

Believe in the finished redemptive work of Jesus Christ on the cross alone for the remission of all your sins (past, present, and future).

Call on the name of the Lord. Ask Him to forgive you and to save you, and HE WILL!  (“For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” Romans 10:13)

You do that, dear friend, and that burden you’ve been carrying for so long will be lifted:

Matthew 11:30 – “For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”

1 Peter 5:7 – “Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.”

I sincerely hope you take time today, right now, to examine whether or not you know – without doubt – where you will spend eternity if you were to die today.

Jesus is coming back for His children very soon in what is known as the “rapture.” I believe with all my heart that time is short. Please, do not wait.

2 Corinthians 6:2 – “…behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.”
